Two things mainly. Firstly to those of you that missed the Treasure Hunt - we had a great day out in spectacular scenery and equally as perfect weather. The trudge up and down Foxton Locks was a good way of finally wearing everyone out and give them a thirst for the Pub. Maurice and Pam, obviously not up to their usual standard could only manage a third place, while Tim and Lorraine (ON BICYCLES!!!) came a well deserved second. But unfortunately no-one this year were able to compete with The Village People, namely Karen & myself along with Fran & another Karen, two friends from Wymeswold, so I would like to thank, on behalf of us all, John and Chris for a splendid day out... and to everyone else for answering less than we did!

Also we mustn't forget to thank Land Rover UK Ltd. for it was their foresight to design and build a vehicle with four doors, that we really owe our success to. (Those attending will know what I mean, as some-one, who will remain nameless, tried to do the Hunt with four people in a
V8).

Secondly; An excellent turn out last month (June, Bulls Head, Belper) -
we'd have had ten cars there if we hadn't have been let down by the
person who remained nameless above.

A good range of cars turned up with a pre war model, plenty of V8's, a DB7 and a V8 Vantage. Unfortunately no pictures!!!!!!!!

The meeting also brought out Brian Fearn with his pre-war, (sorry forgot the details), Aston. In hope of forgiveness I gave included a photo of Gillians DB2/4 Mark II Drop head winning the Barry Weir Fetham Challenge Trophy.

At Tutbury Castle a great time was had by a few! Area 3 and the Jensen Owners club wereinvited along for a Secret Agents day. Whilst only 4 members turned out with 3 cars and we were quite out numbered by Jensens, I think we went down with the visitors very well.

I have to comment that the Hospitality of the Curator and his Wife was exceptional and Lesley's knowledge of the Mary Queens of Scots age was phenomenal. I would recond the guide tour of the Castles history. (But only if you have a strong constitution!)
